The Assault on the Stone
Up to WH3
The Assault on the Stone is designed for a three hour workout.
Leave Decatur MARTA @ Church St on Sundays at 7(?) am on bikes. If you get to the Stone in under 35min you can/must do a inside loop.
Lock up at the Hike up lot restrooms.
Run the Cherokee Trail loop in opposing week direction. This week it will be clockwise. If you get back to the Up/Down trail with more time that your bike split will take you to finish in around three hours, you can/must run to the top and back down too. This is the BEST part of this event. The downhill run. I treat it as a black diamond mogul field.
Unlock and ride back to Decatur.
One goal is to try and keep everyone sort of together. My pace is moderate. I know many of youz can get to the Stone in under 30mins. A good trail runner could probably do 40min on this course. The UP/DOWN is too tough to call.
This event will not be held if i am able to hash, meaning not work at noon on Sunday
