August hash - questionaire - please respond

Posted by Barbara Grove at July 23. 2007

In an effort to get more people out to wheelhopper, if you have an opinion on the following, please repond here.

1. Would you be camping in Alabama the weekend of Aug 17-19, if we get a campground lined up? (most likely Oak Mountain near Birmingham)

2. Would you rather have the hash on Saturday or Sunday?

We moved the hashes to Saturday for camping weekends by request, but it seems that recently the people that wanted that haven't been able to attend as often, so we want to do what the majority wants.

thanks - Primer (& Jack*ss)

Also - Serive I would NOT be camping as he is working until Sunday morning 7AM, but we will drive over to the hash if it is held on Sunday.

I like Sunday rides -- With Saturday rides, people show up, ride, go to sleep early, and leave. With Sunday rides, you have all day Saturday to relax, play, socialize, ride (overachievers!), hike, or swim, then you ride Sunday. Sure, you get home later, and maybe you can't drink as much, but it makes for a more fun weekend because you can hang out and still get as smashed as you want on Saturday. My $.02.

Saturday rides it is.  The almighty Jackass has spoken, and as every peasant in my kingdom is aware, my word is gospel.  As Elvis would say, "is YOKE".  The reason that we moved to Saturday was for several reasons.  1) it allows everybody to get their campsite packed without having to rush to make it to the start on time.  2) It allows people to make the decision as to when they would like to head back home.  Hungover, yes; Drunk, not by fault of the hash.  3) It allows folks to leave property at the campsite.  With this option, I have in the past felt less stress about whether my stuff would be in my truck or not when I returned.  That does not apply to me when I have my rolling hizzy, but if I don't?  4)  If people are unable to stay up late and socialize, well then it is like brain cells.  I believe in the theory of survival of the fittest, the strong shall prevail.  That is just my $.05.

Hey Jackass - you were the one complaining about not having big enough crowds at the out of town hashes. I am just trying to find out what the people want. I'd be careful about the dictator attitude, if I was you.........
