Ride #274 - 11/18/2007 - North Georgia (time change, start is now 12:30) Hey all – Conasauga River and Iron Mountain trail will be this weekend’s hash. This is going to be a chance of a lifetime trail. Usually this trail has some serious water crossings, which can be dangerous. But, thanks to the drought, we can ride this and not get swept downstream. (You might get a little wet, but it is worth it!!! "the hares say") Come join us, there will be a long & short trail option. *Awesome overlook and the leaves are beautiful, it might even be a photo op type of trail* Hares: Service My Tool & Patrick R. Cost: $7 price has gone up, sorry, but surely you have noticed this when you go buy beer) Start Time: 12:00 gather, 12:30 start Make sure you allow enough time (2 hours) - because with daylights savings time being over, we start an hour earlier. Gather 12:00, ride starts 12:30. Because of construction on 75 in north Cobb County - please be sure to leave with plenty of time to get there. Directions: I-75 N to exit 293 (Hwy 411 Chatsworth) Go right off the exit for 52 miles. Watch your speed in White county especially. Watch for a brown sign for the Sumac Creek Shooting Range. (turn there, but don’t go to the shooting range) Turn right on Old Hwy 2, there is no street sign. There is a St Clares gas station on the left, and a Cisco Baptist Church on the right. Travel 7 more miles, following the signs to the Jacks River Trail & Cottonwood Patch. Park at the Jack’s River Trail. Look for hashers Contact Name Primer Contact Email primerah4@hotmail.com

By some hares near Bear Creek and Fort Mountain or something like that.

These trails won't go up and down any hills will it?  Because I'm allergic to climbing.

I break out in excuses and my bike just breaks.

Please let me know so I'll have time to prepare my best ones for the ride.

On On (down I hope.)

yes- the trail will be up I-75 somewhere in North GA, it is near Fort Mountain. It will take at least 1.5 hrs to ge to the start, probably closer to 2 hours. The hares haven't given me the directions yet to post, but they promise it will be fun. If I could decipher Service's scribbles, I'd get the start posted now...... but I know you hashers, if I post something wrong, everyone will follow those.

Start to be posted soon.................

Well I don't see any jokes in there.

Do you?

I'm sorry. White did you say?

White you say.  I can't Ear you.

I hope I'm wrong (I'm not)  but it looks like we're heading out on the 2007 National Ultra Endurance MTB Series Cohutta trail from  April 21.  Chris Eatough finished in 7 hours so that gives me an estimated time of 5 days.
