The 4th Annual Beltline Bike Tour
Up to WH3
Join a great cause get a chance to explore Atlanta's 360 degrees of parks, history, community, and people, all by bike! The BeltLine is Atlanta's next step in connecting the city and providing more space to take advantage of everything it has to offer - What will you find in your 360 degrees?
Atlanta is getting a makeover and The BeltLine Bike Tour wants to tell you ALL about it!
The BeltLine Bike Tour (BBT) is an annual group ride for Georgians near and far to learn about our city’s scheduled makeover. Anyone can participate. There are short, medium and full-length routes planned to suit all ages and cycling levels.
During the tour you will learn about Atlanta’s historic buildings and architecture, our industrial and railroad heritage, and other landmarks one might otherwise motor past. In conjunction, you will see the proposed urban renewal, all while meeting fellow Atlantans. It’s perfect for building community – which is at the heart of The Atlanta BeltLine.
In the last two decades, metro Atlanta has grown in widely spread and disconnected pockets that have strained our quality of life. The BeltLine seeks to correct this within the city by connecting a whopping 45 neighborhoods with transit, parks, trails and a 22-mile nature preserve. It’s all very exciting! And we want everyone to see this ongoing development while doing a very BeltLine activity: leisure cycling.
Touring the BeltLine by bike will give you a chance to interact and talk about these changes, get active, enjoy some sun and nature – just the way Georgians like it. With your help, we will all envision the exponential developments (such as shopping, dining, and home sales) that will follow in the days ahead.
Join us on Saturday, May 7 at 9 am in front of the Historic Old Fourth Ward water tower across from Studioplex: 659 Auburn Avenue NE, 30312.
See you at the water tower!
