TRY TO CARPOOL - THERE ISN'T TONS OF PARKING, AND IF IT IS CROWDED, YOU MIGHT HAVE TO PARK & RIDE A FEW EXTRA MILES TO THE START!!!!!!!!
okay - Jackass hasn't given me any real info - but here are the directions.
Gather 1:00PM be ready to start at 1:30PM
Cost is $7
From Atlanta take I-75 N to I-575 N toward Ellijay. I-575 turns into GA 5 (US 76) that leads to E. Ellijay.
Turn left at the second light in E. Ellijay (past the Ingles and McDonald's) and cross the railroad tracks. Turn left onto GA 52 West.
Around mile marker 8 (marker on left side of road), you turn RIGHT onto Gates Chapel Rd.
After 5.4 miles (small bridge) turn right on FS#241.
There should be signs to Bear Creek trail - it is about 1.5 miles on the gravel road.
Look for Jackass’s white truck, and hopefully he will mark where to park with some flour.
There is picnic area/primitive campground where will be gathering.
