From your hare:

Short fun trail, and long trail available. Bail out on long trail for people with bad hangovers. Short trail 6-7 miles. Long trail 13-15 miles.
Over achievers may do short, and long trail to achieve their 20 plus miles. Short trail is different from long trail.

It's about 65 miles north of Marietta, go up 75 to 575 up to Ellijay.
Then, from ELLIJAY downtown square, take GA Hwy 52 W, toward Chatsworth. Go 9.3 miles, (watch for the green Lake Conesauga Recreation Area sign on L) turn R on Conesauga Road, which is also FS 18 and continue 3 miles (the pavement ends after 1.3 miles). Watch for our sign on the left, enter first driveway and follow signs.
